From high school to college
 Monica
started her career as a nurse in high school, where she chose the
health care program (vårdlinjen). After high school she went
on to college, first a three semester long general program for nurses
and then one year of extended studies in anesthetic health care
and intensive care. During the extended education the theoretical
studies were altered with practice at Löwenströmska Hospital
and Danderyd Hospital north of Stockholm.
