Method development

Several sub-projects are primarily designed to optimize methods to be used, and to develop new methods and techniques.

Clinical instruments, e.g. electronic case report forms and routines for data control, have been developed. High throughput molecular genetic methods have been developed. Methods for extracting quantitative information from in vivo and in vitro brain images are developed.

New techniques will be used for computer structuring of large textual data to retrieve knowledge from scientific databases, Internet and medical records. Data mining techniques will be used to search relevant combinations of data in the database.
