The 24th meeting of the International Neuropsychological
Society
|
Invitation to Stockholm
The International Neuropsychological Society and the Nordic Neuropsychological
Societies, are very pleased to welcome you to Stockholm, and the
2002 midyear meeting of the INS. Every second year the midyear meeting
is held in a European country, and this is the first time in Sweden.
Neuropsychology is a fast growing field of
interest in the Nordic countries, attracting psychologists and other
clinical and research professionals. It is our hope that this meeting
will represent a more active participation of European neuropsychologists
in the INS.
The program offers a number of invited lectures,
many related to the themes "Neuronal plasticity" and "Functional
neuroimaging". Plasticity is one of the most exciting topics
in current neuropsychological research, and covers a host of promising
new findings regarding normal psychological development over the
life span as well as treatment and rehabilitation of brain damage
and disease. Functional imaging methods are well established in
neuropsychological research.
As usual, there will also be a number of
CE-workshops and scientific symposia as well as a full scope of
free paper and poster presentations.
With this meeting the co-operation of the
INS with national neuropsychological societies is further emphasized.
The social part of the meeting will offer
opportunities of fruitful discussions in nice surroundings, as well
as cultural and musical events.
We are looking forward to seeing you in
Stockholm in 2002.
