Katarina Borgh Bertorp

The first major exhibition was made in Sundsvall
paint_and_penselKatarina Borgh Bertorp's interest in Sigrid Hjertén started during her activity at the museum of Sundsvall, Sweden, where she worked for 18 years. Sigrid Hjertén was born in Sundsvall, and 100 years after her birth Katarina Borgh Bertorp as a head of the museum produced the first major travelling exhibition with her art. Ever since then Borgh Bertorp has had a strong interest in Sigrid Hjertén's artistry, which she considers to be entirely in the same class as the works of the great international painters from the beginning of the nineteenth century. Therefore she has also made exhibitions with Sigrid Hjertén's art in France and Germany.

Upcoming exhibition together at the Art Gallery of Norrköping
Right now Katarina Borgh Bertorp is working with an exhibition together with the Art Gallery of Norrköping, Sweden. In this exhibition you will follow Sigrid Hjertén and Isaac Grunewald during the nineteen tens; the way they look upon themselves, each other, their son Ivén etcetera. The exhibition will be shown in Norrkšping in spring 2002, and at Arken in Copenhagen in the summer 2002. One will also try to show several of the works of art that were presented in Copenhagen in 1916, when Sigrid Hjertén and Isaac Grunewald were exhibiting together.
