"Mariaprojektet"
 Within
“Sjukhuskyrkan” (The Hospital Church) in Gothenburg, a
project called "Mariaprojektet" has been started. The
aim with this project is to try new methods of work within for instance
psychiatry, since more and more people are nursed at home. "Mariaprojektet"
wants to make room for discussions about life and death. The thought
is for people to through individual talks and group talks get help
to find joy and courage in a difficult life-situation. The project
arranges for instance talks for relatives of mentally ill people,
and mourning groups and individual talks for relatives of persons
who have committed suicide.
Many church parishes in Gothenburg also have
support groups for people who have lost a relative through suicide.
