Lennart Heimer is Professor Emeritus at University
of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, in the US, and the latest
new member of HUBIN’s scientific advisory board. Throughout
his career, he has helped develop some of the methods that have
been very useful in the detection of neurons in tissue from the
brain, and has thereby contributed largely to the mapping of the
brain and nervous system. He is also the author of the book "The
Human Brain and Spinal Cord".
