"The Human Brain And Spinal Cord"

For anybody who has ever taken a class in the anatomy of the brain and the nervous system, the chance is rather big that Professor Lennart Heimer’s book ”The Human Brain and Spinal Cord” been part of the study material. The book’s first edition was released in 1983, and was based on a small, previous book in Swedish on neuroanatomy. The second edition came out in 1995 and was for a long time used as recommended reading in neuroanatomy classes all over the world, but is today out of print. According to Heimer himself, there are currently no plans for a third edition, but the last word may not have been said on that matter.
