Källan
Källan is an organization run by Schizofreniförbundet
(see above). It started in 1996 by arranging meetings for
children and teenagers with a mentally ill parent. Over the
years more activities have been added, and Källan now
also runs supporting groups for parents.
The aim is to increase the awareness
and knowledge on mental problems and diseases, and also inform
and discuss how family members react when a close relative
falls ill. An other important aim of the support groups is
to share experiences with other persons who live under similar
conditions.
