Help a to cope in the world outside hospitals
The
symptoms of schizophrenia may complicate life for those affected
with the disease. It may be difficult to communicate with other
people, and it may also be difficult to carry out everyday tasks.
The aim of counseling and rehabilitation
is to help individuals with schizophrenia to coupe in the world
outside hospitals, and to make the best use of his or her abilities.
Counseling and rehabilitation are most useful
during time periods when the patients are comparatively well, i.e.
between active phases of the disease.
