No medication is free of side effects
Medication
work by interacting with the chemical signal system of the body.
This system is very complex, for example the body is "economical"
and sometimes uses the same chemical substance for totally different
functions.
Considering the complexity of the human body,
it is easy to understand that all medication have some side effects.
They may be insignificant, or very troublesome. Sometimes the patient
suffers so much from the side effects that he or she stops taking
the medication. This may be very dangerous, and can lead to serious
consequences for the patient.
It is important to tell the responsible doctor
about side effects, and how they are experienced. All humans are
different; a side effects that is barely notably to one person may
be unbearable to somebody else. Talking to your doctor will help
set the medication to an optimal dosage and it will also help to
make a choice of medication best suited for your individual needs.
